Serving the Jewish Young Professionals of Oahu

Our Story

Hi I am Yudi! I was raised in London, England, in a home infused with carrying out the Rebbe's missions. This has always been a central theme of my life. I studied until age 16 in the Lubavitch school system in London, and attended yeshiva in Israel, Australia, and New Jersey. I then entered the culinary world and trained as a chef at the famous Sharratt Catering Company where I earned my stripes as a chef. Even as a small-business owner, helping out Chabad of Hawaii to grow the Jewish community and hosting large Shabbat dinners at home, has been a simultaneous passion.

And I am Estee! I grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, and left home at an early age to study in a Jewish school. After completing studies in Massachusetts, at a young age I had a passion for communal work teaching classes and running day camps in Sweden, South Africa, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and California. When I married Yudi, we moved to Florida.

After the birth of their first child, we decided to take a chance and move to Hawaii. We opened up a Kosher restaurant, Yudi's Deli in 2006. Shortly after, we rebranded, founding Oahu Kosher, providing kosher meals to all of the Hawaiian Islands https://www.oahukosher.com/.

Outside of our business, we serve the Jewish community in many capacities. Our passion is connecting Jews with the warmth of their heritage at various life stages. We put on curated events, with a focus on securing a vibrant and proud Jewish future.

Our Guiding Light

Chabad is a global movement of joyful Jewish education and community connection driven by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. With his profound love for humanity and boundless optimism, the Rebbe launched an unprecedented range of Jewish institutions, programs and social services. Chabad strongly upholds the belief that every Jew, indeed every human being, has a unique role to play in the greater scheme of things and is an integral part of the tapestry of G‑d's creation.

Chabad of Hawaii

We are grateful to Rabbi Itchel and Perel Krasnjansky, who as the head shluchim of Hawaii have laid the foundation for our work. For nearly 40 years they have devoted their lives to bringing Judaism to the Hawaiian Islands.
